Dispositif visuel et lumineux, la série Perspective joue des codes de l’imagerie scientifique en s’inspirant d’images d’amas d’étoiles. Ces dernières sont redessinées par le biais du perçage selon une technique méditative congolaise. L’installation, traversée par une source lumineuse permet à la fois une perte de repères et une familiarité chez le spectateur grâce au paysage cosmique, mais abstrait qu’elle convoque.
Visual and luminous device, the Perspective series plays with the codes of scientific imagery inspired by images of star clusters. The latter are redesigned through piercing according to a Congolese meditative technique. The installation, crossed by a light source allows both a loss of landmarks and familiarity in the viewer thanks to the cosmic but abstract landscape that it convenes.
